Religion in the Pandemic examines the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic on the religious life and practice of different religious groups. The focus of the research is on Jehovah's Witnesses in German-speaking countries.

This project is intended to be a contribution to the growing research on the changes and challenges, but also opportunities, that religious communities had to face during the pandemic

Following an approach of religious studies as cultural studies, this research project will be carried out using qualitative methods and the approaches of digital religion and material religion.
